What You Will Learn
The Duduk Learning Path begins with the foundations of playing and gradually develops towards greater control, expression and repertoire. The curriculum is organised into phases, with new material becoming available as your membership continues.
Phase 1
Foundations of Sound
Available from Day 1
Phase 1 establishes the foundations that everything else in the Academy will build on.
You will get to know the duduk and reed, learn how to prepare and adjust your instrument, develop your playing position and embouchure, and establish reliable finger positions.
From there, you will begin working with tuning, the Academy's fingering and notation system, the major scale, note recognition and long-note exercises for sound and dynamic control.
